Gugulethu Sophia Mbatha, better popularly known as Gugu Mbatha-Raw, is one of the famous British film and stage actress who gained popularity because she was a part of"Doctor Who" (a British science-fiction TV show) The show aired on BBC channel. Gugu had a massive success in the series as Tish Jones. Tish is the sister of Martha Jones. Gugu was destined for a career in acting after her fans fell in love with her jovial personality. Her father was a automobile dealer and her mother was a housewife. Her mother immigrated from Germany to Germany to the United States as a young woman in 1958. In 1989 Handler was diagnosed with cancer. She passed away 10 years afterward. Handler grew up in a Reform Judaism family. Her father was Jewish. Handler was born into an area that was nice, and she had a very pleasant childhood. Her move to Los Angeles when she was 19 years old, to pursue acting. Handler began her career as an actress in order to assist her. Handler's ability to write stories came into play at twenty-one. Handler then decided to make a full-time commitment to stand-up comedy. Beginning Of career Handler began her stand-up career as a member of the Oxygen network all-female cast for the hidden camera/comedy reality show on TV called Girls Behaving Badly. The show ran from 2002 to 2005. Handler went on to work in numerous other shows including Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show My Wife and Kids, The Practice, and Weekends at D.L. Handler was also a the correspondent on The Tonight Show. Handler made her breakthrough in 2006 hosting her E! show. called The Chelsea Handler show. The show lasted over two years. Handler then followed up with appearing on Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour, in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all broadcasted her stand-up shows. In 2010 it was announced that she would host for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. With this, she became only the second female to host the VMA's, following Roseanne Barr.
