Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18, 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and discovered her love for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix placed second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed high school and subsequently signed a pro-contract to Adidas. In 2004 she began her studies at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. The first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record running 200m in 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for the distance of 200 meters. She won the title in 2007. was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her races.
